Rajiv Gandhi assassination: Tamil Nadu government agrees for pre-mature release of convicts

The convicts, Nalini Sriharan and RP Ravichandran, who have spent 30 and 37 years (including remission) respectively in jail, are serving life imprisonment in connection with the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
