Revenue official held hostage by farmers in Punjab over stubble burning

A Patwari (revenue official) was taken hostage by some farmer after he went to inspect the stubble burning report in a village in Punjab's Faridkot. The farmers released the official only after getting a written assurance that no action will be taken against them by the administration for burning crop residue.
